Okay, so assuming I was to have the babies at 37 weeks which is what I heard would be probably be my scheduled c-section if I went that far, I am officially less than 100 days from meeting the babies. Of course if we can go a week longer, I would be all about it. They could come earlier which I am praying they don't. Either way, it feels good to be 14ish weeks away from meeting Nathan and Alexis.
We just got home from our annual 4th of July Family Beach Trip. It was so much fun. We left Friday night and got home Wednesday night. Lee decided to save a couple of vacation days in case we wanted to get away again in August. We went to the Webber Beach Cottage at Topsail Island, NC. It was great. We got to visit with family, eat some good food, play on the beach, go mini golfing, and just enjoyed some family fun with no worries of the real world. It was awesome. I managed an hour or two on the beach a couple of days, but some days I was only able to do a half-hour before I was overheated and exhausted. It was cool because I could go right back in the house and they could stay on the beach. It worked really well and I didn't have to feel bad for holding them back from going on the beach.
While we were there, I popped out some more. It seems like it happens overnight even though I know it probably doesn't. My stomach is getting huge. I haven't gained much weight but I think all of it is going to my stomach (not a bad thing). I will be posting my 23 week belly shot tomorrow so you can judge for yourself.
I am getting a lot more uncomfortable. If I sit in one position too long, my groin/pelvic/tailbone area hurts. If I lay on one side too long, one or both of my hip regions hurts (sometimes my stomach hurts). I can't lay on my back or my stomach obviously. It is getting harder to go up and down stairs and I have to get dressed sitting down since I have a pelvic issue. Overall, discomfort is the name of the game, but it is totally worth it for these healthy babies.
I feel the babies moving all the time now. My stomach bounces and I see something poking out at times. It's the best part of being pregnant (minus having the babies in the end). I love feeling them move and grow. It's amazing. It makes all the discomfort so worth it. Lee enjoys watching and feeling my belly.
I am really blessed that my husband is so understanding of and accommodating to my discomfort/needs. He is always willing to get me stuff, run errands for me, go with me places to help me out, doesn't let me lift anything, and will rub my aching areas anytime I need it. It makes it so much easier to go through this double pregnancy. I am very thankful to him. I am also thankful that I have him because he is my partner and I know that we are a team so when the babies come, he will be there for me, Luke, and the babies and do anything he can to make everything better.
I am blessed beyond measure that God has given me Lee, Luke, a supportive family, tons of great friends, and now this awesome multiple blessing. I can't even put it all into words.

Kick Me Babies One More Time
Lately these babies have been going crazy. They move a lot and get really encouraged when I intake something cold or sugary. Lee can feel both of them a lot now. Last night we even saw my tummy bounce (don't know the right word) everytime one of them kicked. Today it's the same thing. It is really cool. I love it! It makes me know how hearty and healthy they are.

Which Baby Is That?
So it has gotten to the point that I can't definitively tell which baby is kicking/punching me. I am feeling movement in new areas and it is hard to tell if it is too high to be Nathan or too far to the right to be Alexis. It's pretty neat. I love feeling them move. It makes me feel good and reassures me that they are both healthy and strong. I look forward to Lee and Luke getting to feel it more and even be able to see them from the outside.

Feeling My Precious Babies Moving
Over the last week or so I have been able to feel both babies moving multiple times a day. It's the best feeling in the world. It reassures me that they are growing healthier and stronger each day. I generally feel Baby B a lot more, but Baby A is moving more and more each day as well. Lee, Luke, Emma, and Logan have gotten to feel Baby B. I am thinking that people will be able to feel Baby A soon. I really love every kick, punch, and movement that they make. It is like they are telling me, "We are in here and want you to remember." ;) As if there is any way I could forget.
***UPDATE***
Baby A started moving like crazy tonight after I wrote this. I laid on the couch and Lee got to feel him/her. :)

Lee and Luke Got to Feel Baby B
Lee and Luke got to feel Baby B this weekend!!! It was great. Friday night I had a hard spot on my stomach. Lee pushed on it a little and Baby B kicked (or punched) it. It was awesome. Then on Saturday Baby B was moving a lot so I had Luke mash on my tummy a little and he got to feel a kick (or punch). Luke's excitement was uncontrollable. He loves his babies so much already and it is becoming more real for them everyday. I am looking forward to them getting to feel the babies more and more each day. I can feel them a lot now. It's fun!

Baby A and Ice Cream
So tonight Lee, Luke, and I went to eat homemade ice cream at Sunni Skies with my mother and father-in-law. I am not normally a huge sweets person but I love homemade ice cream. I ordered a banana split because I love love love fruit (especially with this pregnancy). It was amazing - vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry ice cream, chocolate syrup, strawberries, pineapple, banana, and whip cream. YUMMY! I validated it since it had fruit ;).
The funniest thing was when I was eating it Baby A was moving like crazy. Either Baby A likes or dislikes the cold and sweet. It was pretty funny. It's fun experiencing all of this stuff and bonding with the babies before they are even born. I guess I know what I need to do if I want Baby A to move ;).

One of the Greatest Sensations in the World
Pregnancy is full of so many things, some fun and some not-so-fun (does the term "morning sickness" come to mind)? For me, aside from seeing the babies on the ultrasounds and hearing their heartbeats, feeling them move is one of the most fun and amazing things. With Luke I started feeling the butterfly flutters at 14 weeks and it progressed from there. This time, because it is my 2nd pregnancy and I am having twins, I felt the butterfly flutters a few weeks ago and it has slowly progressed. Now I am feeling them move a few times a day.
Last night when Lee and I were in bed, I laid on my back and he put his hand on my tummy where Baby B was and I was feeling so much movement. Unfortunately it is too early for Lee to feel it, but it was neat having his hand on my belly and feeling Baby B. I feel them at different times. I seem to feel one more one time and then the other at a different time. I am looking forward to feeling them both at the same time. I think that would be neat.
I know they are in there, healthy and active, and that makes me feel really good. I can't wait for Lee and Luke to be able to feel them moving. I think it will be neat to see Luke's reaction. He loves his babies so much already.

A Couple of Active Babies
I think one of the coolest things about having twins is that I have been able to feel stuff a lot faster and a lot more intensely this time than I did with Luke. With Luke I started feeling flutters at 14 weeks and it slowly progressed to little kicks and then more kicks and then to feeling him do crazy stuff in there. Finally at about 1/2 way Lee got to feel him.
This time I thought I felt flutters at 10 weeks. Now I am pretty sure I did because at 12 weeks I started feeling a few light taps (I guess they would be called kicks). In just a few short days that has progressed to feeling even more movement. I have felt Baby B flip a few times and tonight I felt Baby A flip. It's intense and even hurts a little bit, but man is it one of the best feelings in the world. I would love to feel them move all day everyday. I loved feeling Luke and can't wait for Luke and Lee to be able to feel the movements also.
